Abstract

This research aims to find out how assertive speech acts and their types are in the speech of teachers and students in teaching and learning interactions in Indonesian language subjects at SMP Negeri 111 West Jakarta. The method used in this research is qualitative research and data analysis techniques using recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Based on research that has been conducted, there are 52 forms of assertive speech acts, data on assertive speech acts of teachers and students in teaching and learning interactions in Indonesian language subjects at SMP Negeri 111 West Jakarta, and the number of types of assertive speech acts in which these activities occur is 7 types, including : (1) assertive speech acts state that there are 19 data. (2) assertive speech acts convey 18 data. (3) assertive speech acts suggest 3 data. (4) assertive speech act boasts 2 data. (5) assertive speech act of complaining 4 data. (6) assertive speech acts require 4 data. (7) assertive speech acts report 1 data. With the pragmatic meaning of assertive stating, informing, suggesting, boasting, complaining, demanding and reporting. The results of this research prove that the use of assertive speech acts is more widely used than others. Assertive speech acts can be used by teachers to make the teaching and learning interaction process between teachers and students more active. Then, to understand the meaning of an assertive speech, teachers and students must understand the context of the speech, so that assertive speech acts in teaching and learning interactions can be said to be successful.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk tindak tutur asertif dan jenisnya dalam tuturan guru dan peserta didik dalam interaksi belajar mengajar mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 111 Jakarta Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dan teknik menganalisis data menggunakan teknik rekam, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan terdapat bentuk tindak tutur asertif berjumlah 52 data tindak tutur asertif guru dan peserta didik dalam interaksi belajar mengajar mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 111 Jakarta Barat, dan jumlah untuk jenis tindak tutur asertif yang terdapat kegiatan tersebut berjumlah 7 jenis diantaranya: (1) tindak tutur asertif menyatakan terdapat 19 data. (2) tindak tutur asertif memberitahukan 18 data. (3) tindak tutur asertif menyarankan 3 data. (4) tindak tutur asertif membanggakan 2 data. (5) tindak tutur asertif mengeluh 4 data. (6) tindak tutur asertif menuntut 4 data. (7) tindak tutur asertif melaporkan 1 data. Dengan makna pragmatik asertif menyatakan, memberitahukan, menyarankan, membanggakan, mengeluh, menuntut, dan melaporkan. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan tindak tutur asertif menyatakan lebih banyak digunakan dibandingkan yang lain. Tindak tutur asertif dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru untuk membuat proses interaksi belajar mengajar antara guru dan peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif. Kemudian untuk memahami makna dalam suatu tuturan asertif, guru dan peserta didik harus memahami konteks pertuturan tersebut, dengan demikian tindak tutur asertif dalam interaksi belajar mengajar dapat dikatakan berhasil.
