Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the difficulties experienced by second-grade students at SMA PKP in comprehending the concept of projectile motion. The qualitative study took place at SMA PKP Jakarta, with the population being the second-grade class that had studied projectile motion, and the sample consisting of all 25 students in the Physics 2 of second-grade moving class. Results from written tests and interviews revealed that misconceptions and difficulties in understanding the concept stemmed from a lack of information from previous materials, initial misconceptions, and insufficient explanations of the use of equations and the influence of each variable on the calculated variable.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik kelas XI SMA PKP dalam memahami konsep gerak parabola. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan ini termasuk pada penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di SMA PKP Jakarta dengan populasi yaitu kelas XI yang telah mempelajari gerak parabola dan sample yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas moving XI fisika 2 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Dari hasil tes tertulis dan juga tes wawancara, didapatkan hasil bahwa kesulitan belajar dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep yang dialami peserta didik berasal dari kekurangan informasi dari materi-materi sebelumnya, salah persepsi awal, dan kekurangan penjelasan penggunaan persamaan dan pengaruh masing-masing besaran terhadap besaran yang dihitung/dicari.
