Abstract

Warehouse is a place to store goods, both raw materials for the production process and finished goods that are ready to be marketed. The warehouse layout is intended to minimize the distance traveled to store and retrieve goods. PT GMF (Garuda Maintenance Facility) Aeroasia is a company in the airline technical sector which focuses on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul). In the storage of aircraft components to be repaired, namely wheels and brakes, there is still no calculation of the number of blocks needed and the appropriate storage area and there is no calculation of road access for material handling (space allowance). The placement of stored items is also placed randomly. This makes it difficult for workers to find and retrieve goods and there are several wheels placed on the road. This research uses the Dedicated Storage method which aims to determine the number of blocks needed and produce a storage layout design with minimum distance movement for material handling. The research results show that the capacity required for wheels based on maximum incoming data is 32 blocks with option 2 layout design resulting in a material handling distance is 4,303 cm, an average incoming data is 18 blocks with option 1 layout design resulting in a material handling distance is 2,303 cm, maximum incoming plus incoming data is 80 blocks with option 2 layout design produces a material handling distance is 22,372 cm, and average incoming plus data incoming of 65 blocks with option 2 layout design produces a material handling distance is 13,539 cm. The brake component requires a capacity for maximum incoming data is 5 blocks with the option 1 layout design resulting in a material handling distance is 1,292 cm, an average incoming data is 5 blocks with the option 2 layout design producing a material handling distance is 2,133 cm, the maximum incoming plus incoming data is need 7 blocks with option 2 layout design produces a material handling distance is 3,011 cm, and average incoming plus incoming data need 7 blocks with option 1 layout design produces a material handling distance is 3,089 cm.

Additional Information: Gudang merupakan tempat menyimpan barang baik bahan baku yang akan dilakukan proses produksi maupun barang jadi yang siap dipasarkan. Tata letak gudang ditujukan untuk dapat meminimalkan jarak tempuh untuk menyimpan dan mengambil barang. PT GMF (Garuda Maintenance Facility) Aeroasia merupakan perusahaan dibidang teknis maskapai penerbangan yang fokus bidangnya dalam hal MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul). Pada penyimpanan komponen pesawat yang akan diperbaiki yaitu wheel dan brake, dimana masih belum ada perhitungan jumlah kebutuhan blok serta luas penyimpanan yang sesuai dan belum ada perhitungan akses jalan untuk material handling (allowance ruang). Penempatan barang yang disimpan juga diletakkan secara acak. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan pekerja kesulitan dalam mencari serta mengambil barang dan terdapat beberapa wheel diletakkan di jalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Dedicated Storage yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah blok yang dibutuhkan dan menghasilkan rancangan layout penyimpanan dengan perpindahan jarak untuk material handling yang minimum. Hasil penelitian jumlah blok yang dibutuhkan untuk wheel berdasarkan data incoming maksimum sebanyak 32 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 2 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 4,303 cm, data incoming rata-rata sebanyak 18 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 1 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 2,303 cm, data incoming maksimum ditambah incoming sebanyak 80 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 2 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 22,372 cm, dan data incoming rata-rata ditambah incoming sebanyak 65 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 2 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 13,539 cm. Pada komponen brake membutuhkan kapasitas untuk data incoming maksimum sebanyak 5 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 1 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 1,292 cm, data incoming rata-rata sebanyak 5 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 2 menghasilkan jarak materialhandling sejauh 2,133 cm, data incoming maksimum ditambah incoming sebanyak 7 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 2 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 3,011 cm, dan data incoming rata-rata ditambah incoming sebanyak 7 blok dengan rancangan layout opsi 1 menghasilkan jarak material handling sejauh 3,089 cm.
