Abstract

Application of Reading and Writing Activities (BTS) in Improving the Vocabulary Skills of Children Aged 5-6 Years. By the time children are 5-6 years old, children's vocabulary abilities have increased, children can already speak using a new vocabulary of around 8000 words. This ability can develop more optimally if given stimulation by teachers at school. This reading and writing stacking (BTS) activity aims to help children whose vocabulary mastery is still low and also for children who are confused about language. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research methods. This reading and writing activity is used to make it easier for children to recognize letters, learn to spell, and learn to write letters. The importance of developing vocabulary skills in children aged 5-6 years is because developing children's vocabulary is very important to improve children's cognitive abilities according to their developmental achievements. This activity covers children's literacy needs.

Additional Information: Kosakata Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun, Pada saat anak berusia 5-6 tahun kemampuan kosakata anak mengalami peningkatan, anak sudah dapat berbicara dengan menggunakan kosakata baru sekitar 8000 kata. Kemampuan tersebut dapat berkembang lebih maksimal jika diberikan stimulasi oleh guru disekolah. kegiatan baca tulis susun (BTS) ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak yang penguasaan kosakatanya masih rendah dan juga untuk anak yang bingung bahasa. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. kegiatan baca tulis susun ini digunakan agar anak lebih mudah dalam mengenal huruf, belajar mengeja, dan belajar untuk menulis huruf, Pentingnya mengembangkan kemampuan kosakata pada anak usia 5-6 tahun yaitu karena mengembangkan kosakata anak sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kognitif anak sesuai dengan capaian perkembangannya. Kegiatan ini mencakup kebutuhan literasi anak.
