The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of extrinsic motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance with preventive discipline as an intervening variable. In this study Extrinsic Motivation and Job Satisfaction as independent variables, Employee Performance as the dependent variable and Work Discipline as an intervening variable. This research uses quantitative methods. Respondents of this study amounted to 88 respondents PT employees. Indonesia Power UP Suralaya. The sample data collection technique uses Non Probability Sampling in the form of Purposive Sampling. Data were analyzed using instrument test method, classic assumption test, multiple regression analysis, t test, and path analysis test (path analysis) with SPSS 20 application. The results found that extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on preventive discipline with the acquisition of β = 0.354 and p = 0,000. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on preventive discipline with the acquisition of β = 0.560 and p = 0.000. the contribution of X1 and X2 to Z is 72.7%. Extrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with β = 0.237 and p = 0.003. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with the acquisition of β = 0.491 and p = 0,000. Preventive discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with the acquisition of β = 0.239 and p = 0.012. The contribution of X1, X2, and Z to employee performance is 80.2%. Keywords: Extrinsic Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance, Preventive Discipline

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi ekstrinsik dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan displin preventif sebagai variabel intervening. Dalam penelitian ini Motivasi Ekstrinsik dan Kepuasan Kerja sebagai variabel independen, Kinerja Karyawan sebagai variabel dependen dan Disiplin Kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 88 responden karyawan PT. Indonesia Power UP Suralaya. Teknik pengambilan data sampel menggunakan Non Probability Sampling berupa Purposive Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode uji instrument, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi berganda, uji t, dan uji analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan aplikasi SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin preventif dengan perolehan β= 0,354 dan p= 0,000. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin preventif dengan perolehan β= 0.560 dan p= 0.000. kontribusi X1 dan X2 terhadap Z sebesar 72,7%. Motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan perolehan β= 0,237 dan p= 0,003. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan perolehan β= 0,491 dan p= 0,000. Disiplin preventif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan perolehan β= 0,239 dan p= 0,012. Kontribusi X1, X2, dan Z terhadap kinerja karyawan sebesar 80,2%.
