Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the effectiveness of using Lingokids application towards young learners‟ vocabulary mastery at the second grade of SD Islam Aviciena Anyar. This research was conducted through quantitative by using a quasi-experimental design. The total population of this study was 36 students consisted of 15 students in experimental class and 21 students in control class. The instrument used is test that divided into pre-test and post-test. Furthermore, the data was collected through test and field note. The hypothesis testing was computed using paired sample T-test through SPSS 25.0. The results showed that the sig. value is 0.048 which is lower than 0.05 that indicates there is effectiveness of using Lingokids application. In addition, the students' responses that observed through field notes also showed positive impacts in using Lingokids application. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Lingokids application is effective toward young learners‟ vocabulary mastery at the second grade of SD Islam Aviciena Anyar.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Lingokids terhadap penguasaan kosakata peserta didik muda pada kelas dua SD Islam Aviciena Anyar. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen semu. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 21 siswa di kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes yang terbagi menjadi pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan catatan lapangan. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji T berpasangan melalui SPSS 25.0. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi adalah 0,048, yang lebih rendah dari 0,05 yang menunjukkan adanya efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Lingokids. Selain itu, tanggapan siswa yang diamati melalui catatan lapangan juga menunjukkan dampak positif dalam penggunaan aplikasi Lingokids. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Lingokids efektif terhadap penguasaan kosakata peserta didik muda pada kelas dua SD Islam Aviciena Anyar.
