Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of cow manure dosages and the concentration of gibberellin on the growth and yield of golden melon plants. This research was carried out from August to October 2023 in PT. Kebun Villa Tani Indonesia. This research used factorial Randomise Block Design (RBD). The first factor is the dosage of cow manure consisting of 3 levels which are P0 (control), P1 (20 tons/ha), P2 (40 tons/ha). The second factor was the concentration of gibberellin consisting of 4 levels, namely G0 (control), G1 (30 mg/l), G2 (60 mg/l), G3 (90 mg/l). Every treatment were repeated 3 times which resulted in 36 treatment combination. The parameters observed are plant height, number of leaves, length of fruit flesh, width of fruit flesh, weight of fruit, and brix degree. The result showed that the dose of cow manure fertilizer of as much as 40 tons/ha gave the best result in the growth and yield of melon plants, namely in the brix degree (16.83 brix). Meanwhile, the concentration of gibberellin of 90 mg/l gave the best result in the height of the plant in 35 DAP (178.11 cm).

Alisha) merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang sangat digemari sebagai buah konsumsi langsung karena rasanya yang nikmat, manis dan memiliki aroma khas menyegarkan serta warna orange yang menarik.Melon Golden juga memiliki berbagai macam manfaat untuk kesehatan Produktivitas melon mengalami fluktuasi yang disebabkan oleh jumlah unsur hara yang kurang seimbang dan membuat pertumbuhan serta hasil menjadi tidak optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dengan cara memberikan pupuk organik dan zat pengatur tumbuh. Penggunaan pupuk kotoran sapi dan ZPT giberelin dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan produktivitas melon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis kotoran sapi dan konsentrasi ZPT giberelin terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon golden. di PT. Kebun Villa Tani Indonesia, Kota Cilegon, Provinsi Banten pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan Oktober 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama dosis pupuk kotoran sapi terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (20 ton/ha), P2 (40 ton/ha). Faktor kedua ZPT giberelin terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu G0 (kontrol), G1 (30 mg/l), G2 (60 mg/l), G3 (90 mg/l). Pada setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali maka diperoleh 36 kombinasi perlakuan. Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang buah, lebar buah, bobot buah dan kadar kemanisan buah (brix). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dosis pupuk kotoran sapi 40 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman melon, terutama pada kadar gula (16,83 brix). Konsentrasi ZPT giberelin 90 mg/l memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman melon pada umur 35 HST (178,11 cm). Tidak terdapat interaksi antara dosis pupuk kotoran sapi dan konsentrasi ZPT giberelin pada setiap parameter.
