Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of finding the factors that cause low student motivation in SMP 13 Serang City. This is so that the effectiveness of group tutoring services in increasing low student learning motivation by using modeling techniques. The research method used in this study is quantitative method. Quantitative research is an objective research approach, involving the collection and analysis of data in the form of numbers, and using statistical testing methods. The results obtained by researchers showed significant changes in grade VIII students of SMP 13 Kota Serang who initially had low learning motivation after receiving stimulation treatment modeling techniques through roleplaying. Students' learning motivation has increased as seen from the results of the average N-gain in the experimental group which was obtained at 0.71 and the average N-gain in the control group was obtained at 0.23. The two groups were both in the medium and low categories, but the average value in the experimental group was higher than the control group (0.71 > 0.23). The conclusion in this research is that group guidance services using modeling techniques are effective in increasing the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 13 Serang City.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menemukan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa di SMP 13 Kota Serang. Hal ini bertujuan agar efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah dengan menggunakan teknik modeling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif merupakan pendekatan penelitian yang objektif, melibatkan pengumpulan dan analisis data dalam bentuk angka, serta memanfaatkan metode pengujian statistik. Hasil yang diperoleh peneliti menunjukkan adanya perubahan signifikan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP 13 Kota Serang yang awalnya memiliki motivasi belajar rendah setelah mendapat teknik pemodelan perlakuan stimulasi melalui roleplaying. Motivasi belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari hasil rata - rata N-gain kelompok eksperimen diperoleh 0,71 dan rata-rata N-gain pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh 0,23. Kedua kelompok tersebut sama-sama berada dikategori sedang dan rendah, namun nilai rata-rata pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok kontrol (0,71 > 0,23).
