Abstract
Films have dualism as a reflection and representation of society or reality. As a representation of reality, films can depict and shape reality in accordance with the codes, conventions and ideologies of culture. One of the realities that exist in society is the issue of thuggery under the guise of community organizations. Then, one of the films that deals with social reality is Preman: Silent Fury by Randolph Zaini. This research aims to identify and define the level of reality, level of representation, and level of ideology of thuggery under the guise of community organizations in the film Preman: Silent Fury. The method used is John Fiske's semiotic analysis using a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of literature study, documentation and observation. The results of this research show that thuggery under the guise of community organizations exists in almost all aspects of the reality level including appearance, expression, behavior, costumes, and the environment. Then thuggery under the guise of community organizations also exists in several aspects of the representation level such as camera techniques, sound, and dialogue. Then based on the description of the level of reality and the level of representation, the ideology of the film is thuggery

| Additional Information: | Film memiliki dualisme sebagai refleksi serta representasi masyarakat atau kenyataan. Sebagai representasi kenyataan, film dapat menggambarkan sekaligus membentuk realitas sesuai dengan kode-kode, konvensi-konvensi, serta ideologi dari kebudayaan. Salah satu realitas yang ada di masyarakat adalah isu premanisme berkedok organisasi masyarakat. Kemudian film yang mengangkat perihal realitas sosial ini salah satunya adalah Preman: Silent Fury karya Randolph Zaini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendefinisikan bagaimana level realitas, level representasi, dan level ideologi premanisme berkedok organisasi masyarakat dalam film Preman: Silent Fury. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis semiotika John Fiske melalui pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa premanisme berkedok organisasi masyarakat terdapat di hampir seluruh aspek level realitas meliputi penampilan, ekspresi, perilaku, kostum, hingga lingkungan. Lalu premanisme berkedok organisasi masyarakat juga terdapat di beberapa aspek level representasi seperti teknis kamera, suara, hingga dialog. Kemudian berdasarkan gambaran dari level realitas dan level representasi, maka ideologi dari film tersebut adalah premanisme. | |||||||||
