Abstract
The purpose of this study was to ebserve the understanding of high school student in city serang on the concept of ecosystem are contextual or not. The method used was descriptive. The study of population was all high school students in city serang academic year 2013/2014 with a sample taken by cluster sampling. Understanding contextual measured using the test description and sheet questioner. The result showed that understanding high school students ini city serang on the concept ecosystem not contextual with the result percentages students 0% in the coastal region, 4,2% in urban areas and 6% at locality agroecosystem.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa SMA kota Serang pada konsep ekosistem sudah kontekstual atau tidak. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskrptif. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa SMA di kota Serang pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan sampel penelitian diambil secara cluster sampling. Pemahaman kontekstual siswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes uraian dan lembar questioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa SMA di Kota Serang pada konsep Ekosistem tidak kontekstual dengan presentase 0% pada wilayah pesisir, 4,2 %pada wilayah perkotaan dan 6 %pada wilayah agroekosistem. | |||||||||
