Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of students' responses in using the problem based learning model on students' creative thinking abilities and to find out how much of a contribution arises from the students' responses in using the problem based learning model for SD Negeri Gempol students. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental quantitative method with the subject of class IV students totaling 26 respondents. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis using the t test, a Tcount value of 2.249 is obtained. From these results it is known that the value of T_count>T_table, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In addition, the data for the average value of the control class is smaller than the average value of the experimental class. The control class average was 70.77 while the experimental class average was 76.73. So it can be concluded that the creative thinking abilities of students who use the Problem Based Learning learning model are higher when compared to students who use theDiscovery Learning learning model after being given treatment.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh respon peserta didik dalam penggunaan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berfikir kreatif peserta didik dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi yang ditimbulkan dari respon peserta didik dalam menggunakan model problem based learning terhadap peserta didik SD Negeri Gempol. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif quasi eksperiment dengan subjek peserta didik kelas IV sejumlah 26 responden. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t, maka diperoleh nilai Thitung sebesar 2,249. Dari hasil tersebut diketahui bahwa nilai T_hitung>T_tabel, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Selain itu, data untuk nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol lebih kecil dibandingkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen. Rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 70,77 sedangkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 76,73. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning setelah diberikan perlakuan.
