Abstract

The research aims to find out whether the learning independence of class V students has increased after implementing the problem-based learning model, as well as describing how this model is applied to increase the learning independence of class V students in science class, and knowing the differences in student independence between experimental classes who take part in learning using problem based learning model with a control class without using the problem based learning model. This research uses a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study was class V at SDN Margasari with samples from class VA as the experimental class and class VB as the control class. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. Next, it was analyzed using the N-Gain test and inferential statistics. The results were expressed using the N-Gain test which had an average value of 0.3581, apart from that the final scale average value was 81.75 in the experimental class and 72.17 in the control class. The research results were obtained from the t-test at the level α=0.05, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) is 0.000<0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It was concluded that there was an increase in the learning independence of class V science learning students using the problem based learning model.

Additional Information: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas V mengalami peningkatan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, serta mendeskripsikan bagaimana model tersebut diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas V pada kelas IPA, dan mengetahui perbedaan kemandirian peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning dengan kelas kontrol tanpa dilakukan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Penelitian ini memakai metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini kelas V SDN Margasari dengan sampel kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan statistik inferensial. Hasil dinyatakan dengan uji N-Gain yang mempunyai nilai rata-rata 0,3581, selain itu nilai rata-rata skala akhir sebesar 81,75 pada kelas eksperimen dan 72,17 pada kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari uji-t pada taraf α=0,05 diperoleh nilai Sig. (2- tailed) sebesar 0,000<0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas V pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model problem based learning.
