Abstract

Language literacy or pre-literacy in early childhood is defined as the knowledge of reading and writing skills as well as the ability to analyze, respond and use language that can be applied through the use of reading corners, drawing activities, making posters, and reading culture at home with the cooperation between parents and schools that will optimize the achievement of literacy goals applied at school. This study aims to determine the application of language literacy learning applied in group A of PAUD Al- Kautsar Cilegon. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection procedures used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the application of language literacy learning in group A of PAUD Al-Kautsar Cilegon looks good enough and optimal in its application in accordance with the literacy program that should be, starting from the arrangement of classes and environments rich in literacy as well as facilities provided by schools such as reading corners and in its application children are not taught directly to read and write but are introduced to reading and writing with habituation activities that have been designed by the school and meaningful and fun play activities, and in its application there are also several learning methods and various learning media that support the application of literacy learning, especially language.

Additional Information: Literasi bahasa atau pra literasi pada anak usia dini didefinisikan sebagai pengetahuan kemampuan membaca dan menulis serta kemampuan menganalisis, menanggapi dan menggunakan bahasa yang dapat diterapkan melalui pemanfaatan pojok baca, kegiatan menggambar, membuat poster, dan budaya membaca di rumah dengan adanya kerja sama antara orang tua murid dan sekolah yang akan mengoptimalkan ketercapaiannya tujuan literasi diterapkan di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran literasi bahasa yang diterapkan di kelompok A PAUD Al-Kautsar Cilegon. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran literasi bahasa di kelompok A PAUD Al-Kautsar Cilegon terlihat sudah cukup baik dan optimal dalam penerapannya sesuai dengan program literasi yang seharusnya, dari mulai penataan kelas dan lingkungan yang kaya akan literasi serta fasilitas yang disediakan sekolah seperti pojok baca dan pada penerapannya anak tidak diajarkan langsung untuk membaca dan menulis melainkan diperkenalkan dengan membaca dan menulis dengan kegiatan pembiasaan yang sudah dirancang pihak sekolah dan kegiatan main yang bermakna dan menyenangkan, serta dalam penerapannya juga terdapat beberapa metode pembelajaran dan berbagai media pembelajaran yang mendukung penerapan pembelajaran literasi khususnya bahasa.
