Abstract
The furniture industry cannot be separated from the production part where the production process takes place from raw materials to finished products. In carrying out the production process, waste can certainly occur. UKM Sumber Rezeki produces wooden chairs, one of which is, but in the manufacturing process there were several products that did not match the desired size. So the aim of this research is to identify the most dominant waste by calculating borda weights, determine the tools used in VALSAT, find the root cause of the problem and provide suggestions for improvement using fishbone diagrams, and determine priority improvement proposals using AHP. The results of research using borda weighting showed that the most dominant waste was waste reject with a weight of 0.29. The VALSAT tool chosen was Process Activity Mapping (PAM) with a score of 5.94. Proposed improvements based on the fishbone diagram include work supervision, equipment and machine maintenance schedules, checking raw materials, creating standard operating procedures (SOP) and conducting HR training. The priority improvement proposal based on the AHP results is the creation of a standard operating procedure (SOP) with a weight of 0.500. The difference in process cycle efficiency increased from the previous 71% after improvements to 76%

Additional Information: | Industri furniture tidak terlepas dari bagian produksi dimana proses produksi berlangsung dari mulai bahan baku hingga menjadi produk jadi. Dalam melaksanakan proses produksi tentu dapat terjadi pemborosan. UKM Sumber Rezeki memproduksi kursi kayu salah satunya, akan tetapi dalam proses pembuatan terdapat beberapa produk yang tidak sesuai dengan ukuran yang diinginkan. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan yang paling dominan dengan perhitungan bobot borda, menentukan tools yang digunakan pada VALSAT, mencari akar penyebab masalah dan memberikan usulan perbaikan dengan fishbone diagram, serta menentukan usulan perbaikan yang diprioritaskan dengan menggunakan AHP. Hasil penelitian dengan pembobotan borda didapatkan pemborosan yang paling dominan yaitu waste defect dengan bobot 0,29. Tools VALSAT yang dipilih yaitu Process Activity Mapping (PAM) dengan skor sebesar 5,94. Usulan perbaikan berdasarkan fishbone diagram yaitu pengawasan kerja, menjadwalkan perawatan peralatan dan mesin, pengecekan bahan baku, pembuatan standard operation procedure (SOP) dan melakukan pelatihan SDM. Usulan perbaikan yang diprioritaskan berdasarkan hasil AHP yaitu pembuatan standard operation procedure (SOP) dengan bobot 0,500.
