Abstract

PT XYZ runs both production and fabrication of particular equipment that used in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas company. Besides production machine that used, there are material handling machines to support the production, i.e forklift, hand forklift and cranes. This research focused on crane 0746 that has the biggest downtime among the other cranes. The purpose of this research were to identify critical components in crane machine, to find out reliability of each crane machine components, to find out reliability of crane system and to find out preventive maintenance period of each components. Based on the components failure data, the reliability of each components and the system was calculated with reliability block diagram method. After that, preventive maintenance schedule was determined. The results of this research showed that there were five critical components with reliability score of each components are: 37.57% for contactor, 27.80% for motor long travel diode, 44.81% for motor long travel bolt, 36.79% for motor long travel gear, and 40.69% for brake lining motor long travel. The reliability for crane system was 26%. This research suggested to improve the system reliability to 32% with preventive maintenance schedule for contactor is 6 times, motor long travel diode is 5 times, motor long travel bolt is 2 times, motor long travel gear is 2 times, brake lining motor long travel is 2 times, brake lining motor hoist is 1 time, collector shoe is 1 time and motor long travel’s roller bearing is 6 times.

Additional Information: PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang produksi dan fabrikasi peralatan dan juga struktur khusus yang digunakan dalam industri kimia, petrokimia serta minyak dan gas. Selain menggunakan mesin produksi, terdapat beberapa mesin penunjang produksi sebagai alat material handling, yaitu forklift, hand forklift dan crane. Penelitian difokuskan kepada Crane 0746 dikarenakan pada crane tersebut memiliki downtime terbesar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi komponen kritis mesin crane, mengetahui nilai kehandalan setiap komponen kritis mesin crane, mengetahui nilai kehandalan sistem mesin crane, dan mengetahui lamanya periode waktu preventive maintenance untuk menjaga kehandalan komponen. Data kerusakan komponen yang diperoleh kemudian dicari nilai reliability dengan metode reliability block diagram pada masing-masing komponen dan dihitung nilai reliability sistem mesin crane. Selanjutnya ditentukan jadwal preventive maintenance tiap-tiap komponen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima komponen kritis pada mesin crane 0746 dengan nilai reliability komponen kontaktor sebesar 37.57%, dioda motor long travel sebesar 27.80%, baut motor long travel sebesar 44.81%, gear motor long travel sebesar 36.79% dan brake lining motor long travel sebesar 40.69%. Nilai reliability sistem mesin crane 0746 yaitu sebesar 26%. Diusulkan nilai reliability sistem sebesar 32% dengan jadwal preventive maintenance pada kontaktor sebanyak 6 kali, dioda motor long travel sebanyak 5 kali, baut motor long travel sebanyak 2 kali, gear motor long travel sebanyak 2 kali, brake lining motor long travel sebanyak 2 kali, brake lining motor hoist sebanyak 1 kali, collector shoe sebanyak 1 kali dan roller bearing motor long travel sebanyak 6 kali.
