Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type on the learning outcomes of students in the History elective subject in the 11th-grade Social Studies program at SMA Negeri 1 in Serang City. The research method used in this study is quasiexperimental. Sampling was carried out using nonprobability sampling techniques. The research was conducted from July 24, 2023, to August 18, 2023. The research findings are as follows: (1) there is an influence of the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type on the learning outcomes of students in the History elective subject of the 11th-grade Social Studies program at SMA Negeri 1 in Serang City. Hypothesis testing through two-tailed t-test using the pooled variance formula obtained a tcount of 2.51 > ttable of 1.98 with a = 0.05, (2) the learning outcomes of students using the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type are higher than those of students using the direct instruction model. The average post-test score of the experimental class is 75.75 and the control class is 57.62, indicating that the experimental class has an average difference of 18.13 higher than the control class. Hypothesis testing through one-tailed t-test with the pooled variance formula yielded tcount of 2.51 > ttable of 1.98 with a = 0.05.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik nonprobability sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Juli 2023 – 18 Agustus 2023. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut; (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik mata pelajaran sejarah peminatan kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Kota Serang, pengujian hipotesis melalui uji-t dua pihak menggunakan rumus polled varian diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,51 > 1,98 dengan a = 0,05, (2) hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran direct instruction. Perolehan rata-rata nilai post test kelas eksperimen = 75,75 dan kelas kontrol = 57,62 menunjukan kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih rata-rata sebesar 18,13 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol.
