Abstract

Irrigation is the most important part of the cultivation process to meet plant water requirements as well as the need to select the right combination of plant media so that it can improve growth and yield. This study aimed to find out the impact of the layout of the drip irrigation system and the type of planting medium on the growth and yield of pok choi plants. The research was carried out in August until October 2023, in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Sindang Sari Village, Serang District, Banten. The experiment used a split-plot design for the main plot use a variation of drip irrigation layout (V) which consisted of two levels, namely variation 1 (V1) and variation 2 (V2), and the sub plot is the type of planting medium (M) which consisted of three levels, namely land (M0), land+coal scattered (M1), and land+cocopeat. (M2). The results of the research showed that the treatment with variations in drip irrigation layout had a significant effect on the age of 1 Week After Planting (WAP) (8.45 cm) and 2 WAP (13.11 cm) and the result of a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 3 WAP (18.25 cm). The medium type showed significant effect on the parameter of the number of leaves at 4 WAP (13.22 leaves). The results also showed a significant interaction between treatment of the variations in drip irrigation layout and the type of medium on the leaf greenness parameters at 4 WAP (45-49 units). However, there was no effect given by both treatments on the observed wet weight parameters. Furthermore, observations of the drip irrigation system parameters provide better values in variation 1 (V1) based on the drip discharge value (0.16 l/minute), uniformity coefficient (99.71%), uniformity of water supply (82.11%), and efficiency storage (73.89%).

Additional Information: Irigasi merupakan bagian terpenting dalam proses budidaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air tanaman serta perlunya pemilihan kombinasi media tanaman yang tepat sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tata letak sistem irigasi tetes dan jenis media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pok choi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2023, di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Desa Sindang Sari, Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan petak terpisah, petak utama menggunakan variasi tata letak irigasi tetes (V) yang terdiri dari dua tingkat yaitu variasi 1 (V1) dan variasi 2 (V2), dan anak petak adalah jenis tanam. sedang (M) yang terdiri dari tiga tingkatan yaitu lahan (M0), lahan+batubara tersebar (M1), dan lahan+cocopeat. (M2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan variasi tata letak irigasi tetes memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap umur 1 MST (8,45 cm) dan 2 MST (13,11 cm) dan hasil berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tanaman. parameter tinggi tanaman pada umur 3 MST (18,25 cm). Jenis media memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun pada 4 MST (13,22 daun). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya interaksi yang nyata antara perlakuan variasi tata letak irigasi tetes dan jenis media terhadap parameter kehijauan daun pada 4 MST (45-49 unit). Namun kedua perlakuan tersebut tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap parameter berat basah yang diamati. Selanjutnya pengamatan terhadap parameter sistem irigasi tetes memberikan nilai yang lebih baik pada variasi 1 (V1) berdasarkan nilai debit tetes (0,16 l/menit), koefisien keseragaman (99,71%), keseragaman penyediaan air (82,11%), dan efisiensi penyimpanan. (73,89%).
