Abstract

Hydroponic cultivation relies entirely on water as its growing medium, but the care and control of water in hydroponic systems require periodic monitoring. The solution for monitoring water lies in the use of smart systems integrated into hydroponic installations accessible through mobile devices. This research aims to develop a water monitoring system for hydroponic installations based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Furthermore, the research findings can be utilized as a recommendation for the Pancasila student profile strengthening project (P5) module in the Merdeka Curriculum. The development of an IoT-based water monitoring system uses the waterfall method which has a systematic process in developing a product. The research was conducted at the Green House Banten Biology Farm, Biology Education FKIP UNTIRTA. The developed water monitoring system based on IoT utilizes the Arduino IoT Cloud application, with key components including the ESP8266 microcontroller and HC-SR04 sensor. Subsequently, the data obtained from the development of this tool is incorporated into the P5 module focusing on technology engineering under the F phase for high school.

Additional Information: Budi daya hidroponik sepenuhnya menggunakan air sebagai media tanamnya, tetapi perawatan dan kontrol air pada sistem hidroponik memerlukan pemantauan atau monitoring secara berkala. Solusi monitoring air tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan sistem cerdas pada instalasi hidroponik yang terintegrasi pada gawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem monitoring air pada instalasi hidroponik berbasis internet of things. Selain itu, hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi modul projek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila (P5) pada kurikulum merdeka. Pengembangan sistem monitoring air berbasis IoT menggunakan metode waterfall yang memiliki proses sistematis dalam pengembangan sebuah produk. Penelitian dilakasanakan di Green House Banten Biology Farm, Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNTIRTA. Hasil pengembangan sistem monitoring air berbasis IoT menggunakan aplikasi Arduino IoT Cloud dan komponen utama berupa microcontroller ESP8266 dan HC-SR04. Kemudian data pengembangan alat tersebut dijadikan modul P5 tema rekayasa teknologi pada fase F untuk jenjang SMA.
