Abstract

Injection moulding is one of the techniques used to manufacture plastic products. In injection moulding, there are component that the important thing is the screw and barrel. The screw has a function as a pusher and stirrer of hot plastic contained in the barrel, while the barrel has a function as a place for the heating and stirring process. The purpose of this study is to make barrels and screws with manufacturing processes (lathe and milling) as well as test the work of barrels and screws and analyze the results of plastic waste treatment by varying the temperature, the temperature used is 160°C, 250°C and 290°C. After conducting research, results were obtained, where for barrel making using the SS316 material type requires a machining time of 0,191 minutes theoretically and 10,1 minutes experimentally while making screw using the AISI 4340 material type takes 55,22 minutes theoretically and 185,9 experimentally. Then for the results of plastic waste processing, an optimal temperature setting is obtained on the injection moulding machine, which uses a tempetaure of 290°C

Additional Information: memproduksi produk plastik.
