Abstract

Advances in information technology are currently starting to develop along with the need for ease, speed, and accuracy in obtaining information. PT Jaringan Internet Banten (JIB) is an internet access service provider in Cikande, Serang which is committed to providing good quality in direct internet services and internet solutions. JIB is a new internet service provider, so Quality of Service (QoS) analysis is needed based on throughput, jitter, packet loss and delay parameters using the Wireshark application and monitoring the performance of devices connected to the network based on the Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RMA) method using the Paessler Router Trafik Grapher (PRTG) application. This research was conducted every weekend for 3 weeks. The results of this QoS measurement are that the average throughput value on JIB is 33,354 kbit/s (very good), delay variations only vary around 13 millisecond (msec) to 18 millisecond so it is said to be quite stable, there is no packet loss on JIB so that it shows that the quality of the network is good and stable in sending data packets, the average jitter over the given time span ranges from 15-18 ms. The results of RMA measurements show that in the first week the average trafik speed is 1,154,776 kbit/s, in the second week the average trafik speed is 1,116,097 kbit/s, and in the third week the average trafik speed is 1,594,245 kbit/s.

Additional Information: Kemajuan teknologi informasi pada saat ini mulai berkembang seiring dengan kebutuhan yang menginginkan kemudahan, kecepatan, dan keakuratan dalam memperoleh informasi. PT Jaringan Internet Banten (JIB) merupakan penyedia layanan akses internet di Cikande, Serang yang berkomitmen ingin memberikan kualitas yang bagus dalam layanan internet langsung dan internet solusi. JIB ini merupakan penyedia layanan internet yang masih baru, sehingga diperlukan analisis Quality of Service (QoS) berdasarkan parameter troughput, jitter, packet loss, dan delay dengan menggunakan aplikasi Wireshark dan memonitoring kinerja perangkat yang terhubung ke jaringan berdasarkan metode Realibility, Maintainability, Availability (RMA) dengan menggunakan aplikasi Paessler Router Traffic Grapher (PRTG). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada setiap weekend selama 3 minggu. Hasil dari pengukuran QoS ini bahwa nilai rata-rata troughput pada JIB sebesar 33.354 kbit/s (sangat bagus), variasi delay hanya bervariasi disekitar 13 milisecond sampai dengan 18 milisecond (msec) sehingga dikatakan cukup stabil, tidak adanya packet loss pada JIB sehingga menunjukkan bahwa kualitas jaringan baik dan stabil dalam pengiriman paket data, rata-rata jitter selama rentang waktu yang diberikan berkisar antara 15-18 ms. Hasil pengukuran RMA menunjukkan bahwa pada minggu pertama rata-rata kecepatan lalu lintas sebesar 1.154.776 kbit/s, pada minggu kedua rata-rata kecepatan lalu lintas sebesar 1.116.097 kbit/s, dan pada minggu ketiga rata-rata kecepatan lalu lintas sebesar 1.594.245 kbit/s.
