Abstract
This study aims to determine students' written communication skills in writing practicum reports using flashcards. The research was conducted on grade 11th high school students with a simple random sampling technique. The research method used was an experimental method with Posttest-Only Control Group Design. In the experimental group, students were intervened using flashcards to write their practicum reports, while the control group used conventional methods, writing on paper as usual learning. The results showed that using flashcards significantly improved students’ written communication skills in writing practicum reports. This improvement was reflected in comparing post-test results between the experimental and control groups. In addition, students also responded positively to flashcards to improve their practicum report writing skills. The findings of this study contribute to the practical and theoretical understanding of effective writing teaching methods, especially in the context of practicum reports. The results of this study can be implied as a basis for developing more innovative learning strategies to improve students' written communication skills.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh inovasi Flashcard pada laporan praktikum terhadap keterampilan komunikasi tertulis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment atau eksperimen semu yang menggunakan desain penelitian posttest only control design. Populasi pada penelitian ini ialah siswa/i kelas XI IPA SMAN 6 Kabupaten Tangerang Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 237 siswa, dengan siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 sebanyak 40 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 2 sebanyak 40 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini ialah melalui laporan praktikum siswa, yang dinilai dengan rubrik penilaian keterampilan komunikasi tertulis, rubrik penilaian struktur laporan, dan angket respon siswa. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan komunikasi tertulis siswa kelas eksperimen yaitu 72,25 dengan kategori baik dan kelas kontrol sebesar 63,5 dengan kategori cukup. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t (t-Test) untuk menguji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil statistik uji t pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh inovasi Flashcard sebagai laporan praktikum terhadap keterampilan komunikasi tertulis siswa. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan memberi pengalaman belajar baru bagi siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi tertulis siswa. | |||||||||
