Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model on Students' Cognitive Abilities and Digital Literacy on Ecological Material. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Design research design. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique and obtained as many as 2 classes consisting of control classes and experimental classes with each class totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques in the form of tests, namely to measure cognitive abilities and non-tests in the form of questionnaires to measure digital literacy. The results of research data obtained from cognitive abilities in experimental classes obtained scores amounted to 75.83, while the control class was 51.53 and in the digital literacy ability of the experimental class obtained a score of 71.64, while in the control class it was 64.97. The experimental class obtained a higher average score than the control class. The results of the statistical test also showed that H_0 rejected and H_1 accepted, which means that the use of the project based learning (PjBL) learning model affects students' cognitive abilities and digital literacy on ecological material at SMAN 4 Serang City.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) Terhadap Kemampuan Kognitif dan Literasi Digital Siswa Pada Materi Ekologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental semu (Quasi Experimental) dengan desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling dan didapatkan sebanyak 2 kelas yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan masing-masing kelasnya berjumlah 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, yaitu untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif dan non tes berupa angket untuk mengukur literasi digital. Hasil data penelitian yang diperoleh dari kemampuan kognitif pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai sebesar 75,83, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 51,53 dan pada kemampuan literasi digital kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai sebesar 71,64, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 64,97. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji statistik juga menunjukkan bahwa H_0 ditolak dan H_1 diterima yang artinya penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan literasi digital siswa pada materi ekologi di SMAN 4 Kota Serang.
