Abstract
The research was conducted at PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten, Tbk. Balaraja Branch. One of the loan products at Bank Banten is Consumer Credit. The purpose of this research is to find out consumer loan procedures and efforts to avoid default. The research method used is descriptive data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. Consumptive loans at Bank Banten are intended for Civil Servants (PNS), BUMN Employees and Active BUMD Employees. The results showed that (1) the procedure for granting credit at PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten, Tbk. Balaraja Branch has eight stages starting from credit application, credit administration recording, customer review, credit analysis, credit decision, contract, credit realization and disbursement of funds. Then payment of Bank Banten consumer credit installments through the treasurer's intermediary account will be deducted from the debtor's salary every month. (2) Efforts to avoid default are by means of supervision and guidance by the bank, avoiding hedonistic behavior and paying installments on time.

Additional Information: | Penelitian dilakukan di PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten, Tbk. Cabang Balaraja. Salah satu produk pinjaman di Bank Banten adalah Kredit Konsumtif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prosedur pinjaman konsumtif dan upaya menghindari wanprestasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah teknik pengumpulan data deskriptif dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kredit Konsumtif di Bank Banten diperuntukan bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS), Karyawan BUMN dan Karyawan BUMD Aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) prosedur pemberian kredit pada PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten, Tbk. Cabang Balaraja ada delapan tahapan mulai dari permohonan kredit, pencatatan administrasi kredit, peninjauan nasabah, analisis kredit, keputusan kredit, akad, realisasi kredit dan pencairan dana. Kemudian pembayaran angsuran kredit konsumtif Bank Banten melalui rekening perantara bendahara dan akan dipotong dari gaji debitur setiap bulannya. (2) Adapun upaya untuk menghindari wanprestasi adalah dengan cara pengawasan dan pembinaan oleh bank, menghindari perilaku hedonisme dan membayar angsuran tepat waktu. | |||||||||
