Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of academic supervision and school leadership on improving teacher performance at public vocational high schools (SMK) in Lebak Regency. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 279 respondents consisting of teachers from public vocational high schools in the Lebak region. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the variables of academic supervision, school leadership, and teacher performance. The results showed a significant positive influence of both academic supervision and school leadership on teacher performance. Multiple linear regression tests indicated that academic supervision (X1) had a significant effect on teacher performance (Y) with a regression coefficient of 0.782 and a significance value of 0.000. School leadership (X2) also had a significant effect on teacher performance (Y) with a regression coefficient of 0.793 and a significance value of 0.000. Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly contributed to improving teacher performance with an F-statistic value of 64.652. These findings highlight the important role of school principals in conducting effective academic supervision and leading efficiently to support the improvement of teaching quality in public vocational high schools in Lebak Regency.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh supervisi akademik dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru di SMK Negeri Kabupaten Lebak. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 279 responden yang terdiri dari guru SMK Negeri di wilayah Kabupaten Lebak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara supervisi akademik dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Uji regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik (X1) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja guru (Y) dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,782 dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah (X2) juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru (Y) dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,793 dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000. Secara simultan, kedua variabel independen ini memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 64,652. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran kepala sekolah dalam melakukan supervisi akademik yang efektif serta memimpin dengan baik untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pengajaran di SMK Negeri Kabupaten Lebak.
