Abstract

This research aims to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities possessed by junior high school students when given the application of technology integration using the substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition (SAMR) model. The SAMR model in this research is combined with the Problem Based Learning model on cube and block material in mathematics learning. This research uses quantitative research by design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group. This research was carried out in one of the junior high schools in the Serang City area with research subjects namely students in class VIII D as the experimental class and VIII A as the control class. Mathematical problem solving ability is measured using a test instrument in the form of essay questions which have been declared valid and reliable. Based on the results of data analysis using the t-test, the calculated t_hitung was 2.531 with a t_tabel value of 1.999 at a significance level of 0.05. Increased problem solving abilities are shown by the N-gain test value of 0.706 with high criteria. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model with the integration of SAMR technology has an effect on solving mathematical problems for junior high school students.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang dimiliki siswa SMP ketika diberi penerapan integrasi teknologi menggunakan model substitution, augmentation, modification dan redefinition (SAMR). Model SAMR dalam penelitian ini dipadukan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi kubus dan balok dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama yang ada di daerah Kota Serang dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis diukur menggunakan instrumen tes berbentuk soal uraian yang sudah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai t_hitung sebesar 2,531 dengan nilai t_tabel sebesar 1,999 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditunjukan dengan nilai uji N-gain sebesar 0,706 dengan kriteria tinggi. Disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan integrasi teknologi SAMR berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP.
