Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of Job Competency (X1) and Discipline in the Performance of Employees (X2) with Job Satisfaction (Y) as an Intervening Variable in the Banten Provincial Environment and Forestry Service. The research method used is the quantitative method of this study conducting data collection based on questionnaires and library studies. The population in this study is employees of the UPT Laboratory of the Banten Province Environment and Forestry Office. The sample of this study was 75 respondents with nonprobability sampling, namely saturated sampling. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the student version of SmartPLS 3.2.9 analysis tool. This results of this study show that: (1) Competencies Have a Positive and Significant Effect on Employee Performance. (2) Work Discipline Has a Positive and Unsignificant Effect on Employee Performance. (3) Competencies Have a Positive and Significant Effect on Job Satisfaction. (4) Job Discipline Has a Positive and Significant Effect on Job Satisfaction. (5) Job Satisfaction has a Positive and Significant Effect on Employee Performance. (6) Job Satisfaction is able to mediate the Relationship between Competence and Employee Performance. And (7) Job Satisfaction is able to mediate the Relationship between Work Discipline and Employee Performance.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Kompetensi (X1) dan Disiplin Kerja (X2) terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y) dengan Kepuasan Kerja (Z) sebagai Variabel Intervening Pada Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Provinsi Banten. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, penelitian ini melakukan pengumpulan data berdasarkan kuesioner dan studi kepustakaan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai UPT Laboratorium Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Provinsi Banten. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 75 responden dengan penarikkan nonprobability sampling yaitu sampling jenuh (sensus). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan alat analisis SmartPLS 3.2.9 versi pelajar. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kompetensi Berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. (2) Disiplin Kerja Berpengaruh Positif dan Tidak Signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. (3) Kompetensi Berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Kerja. (4) Disiplin Kerja Berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Kerja. (5) Kepuasan Kerja Berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. (6) Kepuasan Kerja mampu Memediasi Hubungan antara Kompetensi dengan Kinerja Pegawai. Dan (7) Kepuasan Kerja mampu Memediasi Hubungan antara Disiplin Kerja dengan Kinerja Pegawai.
