Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using probing promting learning techniques on the student’s cognitive learning outcomes in the concept of ecosystem change. The method used was a quasi-experimental with a pretestposttest control grup design. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Serang class X semester II of the 2022/2023 academic year. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling. Research instruments used in the form of multiple choice test. The results showed that the average cognitive learning outcomes of students in the experiment class was 70.2, which was in the good category, and the control class was 62, which were included in the fair category. Statistically test showed there was an affect of the use of probing promting learning techniques on student’s cognitive learning outcome in the concept of ecosystem change at SMAN 6 Serang.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan teknik pembelajaran probing promting terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada konsep perubahan ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control grup design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 6 Serang kelas X semester II tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 70,2 termasuk kategori baik dan kelas kontrol sebesar 62 termasuk pada kategori cukup. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan teknik pembelajaran probing promting terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada konsep perubahan ekosistem di SMAN 6 Serang.
