Abstract

Learning activities in schools that are oriented towards students' critical thinking skills have not been fully implemented optimally. Critical thinking skills can be built by developing e-modules based on inquiry science issues. This research and development aims to describe the efficiency of e-modules based on inquiry science issues on the theme of polluted soil to train critical thinking skills of junior high school students in grade VII. The method used is (Research and Development) with Sugiyono's research model which is modified according to the needs of researchers by being limited to the limited trial stage. The instruments used are validation questionnaire sheets and student response questionnaire sheets. The results of the validation of the level of validity of the e-module based on inquiry science issues on the theme of my polluted land as a whole obtained a percentage value of 87.8% with the category "very valid" this is based on the results of material expert validation obtained a percentage of 86.9% with the category "very valid", media expert validation obtained a percentage of 91.08% with the category "very valid" and science teacher validation obtained a percentage of 85.5% with the category "very valid". The results of the e-module efficiency level get a percentage of 86.9% with the category "very efficient".

Additional Information: Kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah yang berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa belum sepenuhnya terlaksana dengan optimal. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat di bangun dengan mengembangkan e-modul yang disusun berbasis inquiry science issues. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efisiensi e-modul berbasis inquiry science issues tema tanahku tercemar untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP kelas VII. Metode yang digunakan yaitu (Research and Development) dengan model penelitian Sugiyono yang dimodifikasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan peneliti dengan dibatasi hanya pada tahap uji coba terbatas. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar angket validasi dan lembar angket respon siswa. Hasil validasi tingkat kevalidan e-modul berbasis inquiry science issues tema tanahku tercemar secara keseluruhan didapatkan persentase nilai sebesar 87,8% dengan kategori “sangat valid” hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi didapatkan persentase sebesar 86,9% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, validasi ahli media didapatkan persentase sebesar 91,08% dengan kategori “sangat valid” dan validasi guru IPA didapatkan persentase sebesar 85,5% dengan kategori “sangat valid”. Hasil tingkat efisiensi e-modul mendapatkan persentase sebesar 86,9% dengan kategori “sangat efisien”.
