Abstract

This research aims to develop and to determine the feasibility of website-based virtual flora exhibition to improve senior high school student’s digital literacy on biodiversity material, especially flora diversity. This study’s method was using the research and development method (R&D) with 3D development model which consists of several stages, such as define, design, and development. The research conducted on June to December 2023 at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, SMAN 2 Serang City, and SMAN 1 Padarincang. The subjects of this research were 3 (three) material experts, 3 (three) learning media experts, and the users which consists of 2 (two) biology teachers and 18 (eighteen) class X students in total for two schools, SMAN 2 Serang City and SMAN 1 Padarincang. Based on the results of feasibility test by subject matter expert, an average value of 91,39% (very feasible) was obtained and the media aspect obtained an average value of 97,68% (very feasible). The results of the feasibility test by users, there is teachers obtained an average value of 91,21% (very feasible) and 18 (eighteen) students obtained an average score of 90,15% (very feasible). Based on the results, website-based virtual flora exhibition is very suitable to be used as innovative learning resource to improve senior high school student’s digital literacy on biodiversity material. The impact of this research is increasing student understanding on biology material more pleasantly.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media virtual flora exhibition berbasis website untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati, khususnya flora. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model 3D yang terdiri dari tahap define, design, dan development. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni – Desember 2023 di Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, SMAN 2 Kota Serang, dan SMAN 1 Padarincang. Subjek penelitian ditetapkan sebanyak 3 (tiga) ahli materi, 3 (tiga) ahli media, dan pengguna yang terdiri dari total 2 (dua) guru biologi, dan 18 (delapan belas) siswa kelas X untuk kedua sekolah, yaitu SMAN 2 Kota Serang dan SMAN 1 Padarincang. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan yang dilakukan oleh ahli pada aspek materi diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 91,39% (sangat layak) dan aspek media diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 97,68% (sangat layak). Hasil uji kelayakan oleh pengguna, yaitu guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 91,21% (sangat layak) dan siswa sebanyak 18 orang mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 90,15% (sangat layak). Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut, maka media virtual flora exhibition berbasis website sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar inovatif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini berdampak untuk kemajuan pendidikan, yaitu berimplikasi terhadap siswa dalam memahami materi biologi dengan lebih menyenangkan.
