Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the derivation and inflection process in the Kompas edition of May 2 until 9 2018. Then, this study discusses the process of word class changes that occur after affixation is affixed and then classified into derivation and inflection. This research is motivated by problems that are often found due to errors when classifying after a word class changes, and this can be fatal because the reader can get ambiguous information by the reader. This research focuses on derivational and inflectional namely, about the influence of affixation on changes in word class and then classifies it as a derivation class or inflection. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, meaning that the author will present the formulation and description of the analysis results in a clear and detailed manner. The data source used in this study is the morpheme contained in the header column Kompas general daily plan edition 2 until 9 May 2018. Based on the results of the study, the authors found 146 data including valid data consisting of 102 derivation data and 44 inflection data. The findings in the editorial research in Kompas 2 until 9 May 2018 general daily, can be used by students and teachers in learning Indonesian language, especially in making Indonesian texts, including in making explanatory texts, description text, exposition text, etc.

| Additional Information: | Penulisan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti proses derivasi dan infleksi pada tajuk rencana harian umum Kompas edisi 2 s.d 9 Mei 2018. Derivasi merupakan perubahan kelas kata dan pembentukan kata baru setelah melalui afiksasi, sebaliknya infleksi merupakan tidak terjadinya perubahan kelas kata meskipun telah melalui afiksasi. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini membahas proses perubahan kelas kata yang terjadi setelah pembubuhan afiksasi kemudian menggolongkannya menjadi derivasi ataukah infleksi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang sering ditemukan karena adanya kesalahan ketika menggolongkan setelah terjadi perubahan kelas kata, dan hal tersebut dapat berakibat fatal karena mendapatkan informasi yang rancu oleh pembaca. Penelitian ini memfokuskan kepada derivasional dan infleksional yakni, tentang pengaruh afiksasi terhadap perubahan kelas kata kemudian menggolongkannya menjadi golongan derivasi ataukah infleksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif, artinya penulis akan menyajikan perumusan dan gambaran hasil analisis secara jelas dan terperinci. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah morfem yang terdapat dalam kolom Tajuk Rencana harian umum Kompas edisi 2 s.d 9 Mei 2018. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis menemukan data sebanyak 146 buah diantaranya data valid yang terdiri atas 102 data derivasi dan 44 data infleksi. | |||||||||
