Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of perception of students as voters and to find out how students' perceptions relate to the results of political surveys in the context of increasing election participation. Participation is rejected measure acceptance of the political system built by a country. In the setting of press freedom, multi-party system and general elections democracy, the presence of a new trend in the Indonesian political system namely the trend of using survey institutions to see the strengths of candidates. This research uses a combined research approach (mixed method) with quantitative-correlational methods as the primary method. The population of this study were active students majoring in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Untirta, Primagraha University and Banten Jaya University. The sample of respondents for this research was 91 respondents. The data collection technique for this research uses a questionnaire (questionnaire) with a Guttman scale which is distributed via Google Form, the use of WhatsApp media by distributing broadcasts to each WhatsApp group of active students majoring in PPKn Untirta, UPG and Unbaja and literature study techniques. The sampling technique in this research used proportional sampling. Validity and reliability calculations use the SPSS version 26 application. The correlation technique used is product moment correlation. The results of the research hypothesis test based on the Product Moment Correlation test show that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.975 > 0.05. So it can be concluded that the results of the Product Moment Correlation test show that there is no significant relationship between students' perceptions of voting behavior and the results of political surveys in the context of increasing election participation and accessibility of information on social media and additional sources such as government sites, candidate sites, television news sites, Print media sites and online news portals are alternative preferences that students choose in an effort to increase election participation

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat persepsi mahasiswa sebagai pemilih dan mengetahui bagaimana hubungan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap hasil survei politik dalam konteks peningkatan partisipasi pemilu. Partisipasi menjadi tolak ukur penerimaan atas sistem politik yang dibangun oleh sebuah negara. Dalam setting kebebasan pers, sistem multi partai hingga pemilihan umum yang demokratis tersebut, hadirnya tren baru dalam sistem politik Indonesia yaitu tren memakai lembaga survei untuk melihat kekuatan kandidat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kombinasi (mixed method) dengan metode kuantitatif-korelasional sebagai metode primer. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif jurusan Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) Untirta, Universitas Primagraha dan Universitas Banten Jaya. Sampel dari responden penelitian ini sebanyak 91 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner (angket) dengan skala guttman yang disebarkan melalui google form, penggunaan media Whatsapp dengan menyebarkan broadcast ke dalam masing-masing grup WhatsApp mahasiswa aktif jurusan PPKn Untirta, UPG dan Unbaja dan teknik studi literatur. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan proporsional sampling. Perhitungan validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 26. Teknik korelasi yang digunakan yakni korelasi produk momen. Hasil uji hipotesis penelitian berdasarkan uji Korelasi Produk Momen diketahui bahwa nilai Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,975 > 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil uji Korelasi Produk Momen menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi mahasiswa sebagai perilaku pemilih dengan hasil survei politik dalam konteks peningkatan partisipasi pemilu dan aksesibilitas informasi pada media sosial dan sumber tambahan seperti situs pemerintah, situs kandidat, situs televisi berita, situs media cetak, dan portal berita online merupakan preferensi alternatif yang menjadi pilihan para mahasiswa dalam upaya peningkatan partisipasi pemilu.
