Abstract

Animated videos in learning are a means of delivering material that is presented audio-visually, equipped with interactive features and its application is based on the SETS approach. This interaction can indirectly train students' creative thinking skills by solving problems using this approach. This research was motivated by a problem at one of the junior high schools in Serang district that there was a lack of training in students' creative thinking abilities due to the monotonous use of media and lack of development in the learning process. This research aims to find out how to determine the level of validity of SETS preaching-based animated videos in training creative thinking for class VII middle school students on the theme of my beautiful earth. The research method uses the research and development method or R&D with the 4-D model including define; designing; development; and distribution, but the findings in this research are limited to the development stage. The research results were reviewed from the validation test for the development of animated videos based on the SETS approach with an average score of 89.34% which was included in the "Very Valid" category, so that animated videos based on the SETS approach were declared very valid to be continued at the next research stage including disseminating them as learning media to the creative thinking skills of class VII junior high school students on the theme of my beautiful earth.

Additional Information: Video animasi dalam suatu pembelajaran merupakan alat penghantar materi yang disajikan secara audio visual dilengkapi dengan fitur interaktif serta penerapannya berbasis pendekatan SETS. Dengan adanya interaksi tersebut secara tidak langsung dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan adanya pemecahan masalah di dalamnya menggunakan pendekatan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya permasalahan pada salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di kabupaten serang bahwa kurang dilatihnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa karena penggunaan media yang monoton dan kurang perkembangan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mengetahui tingkat kevalidan video animasi berbasis pendekatan SETS dalam melatih berpikir kreatif siswa SMP kelas VII pada tema Bumiku Asri. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) atau R&D dengan model 4-D meliputi define (pendefinisian); design (perancangan); development (pengembangan); dan disseminate (penyebaran), namun pada penelitian ini terbatas sampai tahapan develop. Hasil penelitian ditinjau dari uji validasi pengembangan video animasi berbasis pendekatan SETS dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 89,34% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori “Sangat Valid”, sehingga video animasi berbasis pendekatan SETS dinyatakan sangat valid untuk dilanjutkan pada tahap penelitian berikutnya yaitu disseminate (menyebarkan) sebagai media pembelajaran dalam melatih kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP kelas VII pada tema bumiku asri.
