Abstract

This research developed a story book based on local Banten wisdom "Masjid Agung Banten" to develop the social knowledge of children aged 5-6 years. This research uses RnD ( Research and Development ) research with development from Borg & Gall . The product results are validated by material expert validators, language experts and media experts. Based on the validation assessment from material experts, they got a percentage of 87.5% in the very effective category, the validation assessment from discussion experts got a percentage of 77.5% in the effective category, and the validation assessment from media experts got a percentage of 77.5% in the effective category. To test the quality of storybooks and test the influence on children's social knowledge, quantitative experimental methods were carried out. The sample used in this research was 30 children consisting of 15 children as the experimental group and 15 children as the control group. The data analysis technique uses a t-test which shows a significance level (2 tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. This shows that the use of storybooks based on local Banten wisdom has an influence on the social knowledge of children aged 5-6 years.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini menggembangkan buku cerita berbasis kearifan lokal Banten “Masjid Agung Banten” untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian RnD (Research and Development) dengan pengembangan dari Borg & Gall. Hasil produk divalidasi oleh validator ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media. Berdasarkan penilaian validasi dari ahli materi mendapatkan persentase 87,5% dengan kategori sangat efektif, penilaian validasi dari ahli bahas mendapatkan persentase 77,5 % dengan kategori efektif, dan penilaian validasi dari ahli media mendapatkan persentase 77,5% dengan kategori efektif. Untuk menguji kualitas buku cerita dan pengujian pengaruh pada pengetahuan sosial anak dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif eksperiment. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 30 anak yang terdiri dari 15 anak sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 15 anak sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t-test yang menunjukan tingkat signifikansi (2 tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan buku cerita berbasis kearifan lokal Banten memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun.
