Abstract
This study aims to analyze the Communication Construction of Female Legislative Members of DPRD Banten Province in carrying out their duties and fighting for their political rights. The theoretical perspective used is Herbert Mead's theory of Symbolic Interactionism. This exploratory qualitative research used an in-depth interview technique in which the informants were determined using a purposive sampling technique, including women legislators representing each faction who had a proven political track record. This research is motivated by the small representation of women in the Banten Province DPRD, where out of 85 elected DPRD members, only 15 are female DPRD members. The political communication strategy developed and carried out by the 15 women DPRD members has had a major influence on their existence which can bring the same benefits as male legislators or can even give a better color to the world of politics in the Banten Provincial DPRD. Women have advantages that are not owned by men in communicating. Women tend to rely on body gestures, vocal exercises, eye contact and touch or movements that can give a persuasive impression in carrying out their political communications. The background of this research is the small representation of women in the DPRD of Banten Province, where out of 85 elected DPRD members, only 15 are female DPRD members. The political communication strategy that was built and carried out by the 15 female DPRD members greatly influenced their existence which could bring the same benefits as male legislators or could even give a better color to the world of politics in the Banten Provincial DPRD. The results of this study are the tendency of female legislators to use their thinkingskills, recognize themselves and uphold the values of democracy and religiosity, enabling them to carry out their duties properly without lacking rights like other DPRD members and to be re-elected in several election periods.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh sedikitnya keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Provinsi Banten, dimana dari 85 anggota DPRD terpilih, hanya 15 anggota DPRD Perempuan. Strategi komunikasi politik yang dibangun dan dilakukan oleh 15 anggota DPRD perempuan sangat berpengaruh besar pada keberadaan mereka yang bisa membawa manfaat yang sama sebagaimana anggota legislatif laki-laki atau bahkan bisa memberi warna yang lebih baik pada dunia perpolitikan di DPRD Provinsi Banten. Perempuan memilliki kelebihan yang tidak dimiliki oleh laki-laki dalam melakukan komunikasi. Perempuan cenderung mengandalkan gesture tubuh, olah vocal, eye contact dan sentuhan atau gerakan-gerakan yang bisa memberikan kesan persuasive dalam melakukan komunikasi politik mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Konstruksi Komunikasi Anggota Legislatif Perempuan DPRD Provinsi Banten dalam menjalankan tugas dan memperjuangkan hak-hak politiknya. Perspektif teoritis yang digunakan, yaitu teori Herbert Mead Interaksionisme Simbolik. Penelitian kualitatif eksploratory ini menggunakan Teknik wawancara mendalam di mana informan-informan ditentukan secara purposive teknik sampling, meliputi anggota legislatif perempuan yang mewakili masing-masing fraksi yang memiliki jejak politik yang teruji. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kecenderungan para anggota legislatif perempuan dalam menggunakan kemampuan berpikir, mengenali diri dan memegang teguh nilai demokrasi dan religiusitas, membuat mereka mampu menjalankan tugasnya dengan baik tanpa kekurangan hak sebagaimana anggota DPRD lainnya serta dapat terpilih lagi dalam beberapa kali periode pemilihan. | |||||||||
