Abstract

This research evaluates the mathematical representation skills and learning motivation of students at SMK AL-HIKMAH Cipeucang, which were found to be low based on pre-research data and interviews. The author is interested in examining the impact of online learning assisted by the TikTok application on both aspects. The research aims to assess the effects of online learning using TikTok on the mathematical representation skills and learning motivation of SMK students. The research method employed is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using a posttest-only control design. The research population includes all tenth-grade students at SMK AL-HIKMAH Cipeucang, with the sample selected using cluster random sampling technique. Class X AKL 1 is used as the experimental group, while class X AKL 2 serves as the control group. Data from tests on mathematical representation skills and student learning motivation are analyzed using the Manova test with the assistance of SPSS. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that online learning with the TikTok application has a significant impact on students' mathematical representation skills (0.005 < 0.05), while it does not significantly affect the consistency of students' learning motivation (0.450 > 0.05).

Additional Information: Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa di SMK AL-HIKMAH Cipeucang, yang ternyata masih rendah berdasarkan data pra penelitian dan wawancara. Penulis tertarik untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran daring berbantuan aplikasi Tiktok terhadap kedua aspek tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menilai dampak pembelajaran daring menggunakan Tiktok terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa SMK. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasy eksperimen menggunakan desain posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas X di SMK AL-HIKMAH Cipeucang, dengan sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Kelas X AKL 1 digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen, sementara kelas X AKL 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data dari tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji Manova dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring dengan aplikasi Tiktok berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa (0,005 < 0,05), sementara tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap konsistensi motivasi belajar siswa (0,450 > 0,05).
