Abstract

This attitude is a belief that represents an individual's self-acceptance. The purpose of this research is to determine the attitude of self-acceptance of blind people in Banten Province. This research uses quantitative methods with a quantitative descriptive research design. The population in this study consisted of four schools in Banten, a Cilegon branch of the blind community, and a state university in Serang City. The sample in this study was aged 11-23 years, a total of 40 people with visual impairment. Data collection techniques use questionnaires or surveys. The measuring instrument used in this research is the self-acceptance scale. The results and discussion show that the attitude of self-acceptance of blind people in Banten Province is 5 blind people with a percentage of (12.50%), 4 blind people are in the poor category with a percentage of (7.50%), 21 blind people are in the moderate category with a percentage of (45.00%), 13 blind people are in the good category with a percentage of (32.50%), and 1 blind person is in the very good category with a percentage of (2.50%). It can be concluded that this attitude of self-acceptance is in the sufficient category.

Additional Information: Sikap ini merupakan suatu keyakinan yang mewakili penerimaan diri seorang individu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sikap penerimaan diri penyandang tunanetra di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari empat sekolah di Banten, satu komunitas tunanetra cabang Cilegon, dan satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Kota Serang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berusia 11-23 tahun yang berjumlah 40 orang penyandang tunanetra. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner atau angket. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala penerimaan diri. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukan bahwa sikap penerimaan diri penyandang tunanetra di Provinsi Banten sebanyak 5 orang tunanetra dengan persentase (12,50 %), 4 orang tunanetra berada di kategori kurang dengan persentase (7,50 %), 21 orang tunanetra berada di kategori cukup dengan persentase (45,00 %), 13 orang tunanetra berada di kategori baik dengan persentase (32,50 %), dan 1 orang tunanetra berada di kategori sangat baik dengan persentase (2,50%). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa sikap penerimaan diri ini berada di kategori cukup.
