Abstract
his research aims to describe (1) The use of English educational content on Tik�tok as a learning medium. (2) BBC course participants' pronunciation skills through English educational content on Tik-tok. (3) supporting and inhibiting factors for English language educational content on Tik-tok. The data collection technique used is a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data source in this study consisted of 8 people, namely participants in the BBC course in Serang city. The research results show that (1) the use of Tik-tok social media by BBC course participants can be said to be quite good. BBC course participants use English educational content as an alternative learning medium if they feel that the teacher or tutor is less effective in providing material to improve pronunciation skills. This is proven by the high frequency of use of Tik-tok social media and the intensity of use of English educational content on Tik-tok. (2) the pronunciation skills of course participants are not good enough because the pronunciation skills of BBC course participants do not fulfill the four aspects that must be mastered in pronunciation skills. BBC course participants only fulfill one aspect among the four aspects of pronunciation, one aspect that has been mastered by BBC course participants, namely the aspect of accuracy. (3) Supporting factors for English educational content on Tik-tok, namely supporting factors for English educational content and Tik-tok, namely diverse content, wider coverage, there are supporting features that can make it easier for users to watch English educational content . Apart from that, English content creators who have good pronunciation and delivery of material, and English educational content video concepts that are packaged creatively and interestingly. The inhibiting viii factors for English educational content on Tik-tok are that the duration is too short, there is still a lot of content that is not worth watching, the way the content creator delivers it is too fast, the accent used by the content creator in using English is different, and there is still a lack of educational content. which discusses aspects of emphasis and intonation in Tik-tok social media and there are still many content creators who do not pay attention to aspects of emphasis.

Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 orang yaitu peserta kursus BBC kota Serang. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) pemanfaatan media sosial Tik-tok oleh peserta kursus BBC dapat dikatakan cukup baik. Peserta kursus BBC memanfaatkan konten edukasi bahasa Inggris sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif jika dirasa guru atau tutor kurang efektif dalam memberikan materi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pronounciation. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan tingginya frekuensi penggunaan media sosial Tik-tok dan intensitas pemanfaatan konten edukasi bahasa Inggris pada Tik-tok. (2) kemampuan pronounciation peserta kursus belum cukup baik dikarenakan kemampuan pronounciation peserta kursus BBC belum memenuhi keempat aspek yang harus dikuasai di dalam kemampuan pronounciation. Peserta kursus BBC hanya memenuhi satu aspek diantara keempat aspek pronounciation, satu aspek yang sudah dikuasai peserta kursus BBC yaitu aspek ketepatan. (3) Faktor pendukung konten edukasi bahasa Inggris pada Tik-tok yaitu faktor pendukung dari konten edukasi bahasa Inggris dan Tik-tok yaitu konten yang beragam, cakupan yang lebih luas, terdapat fitur - fitur penunjang yang dapat memudahkan penggunanya dalam menonton konten edukasi bahasa Inggris. Selain itu content creator bahasa Inggris yang memiliki vi pronounciation dan penyampaian materi yang baik, dan konsep video konten edukasi bahasa Inggris yang dikemas secara kreatif dan menarik. faktor penghambat dari konten edukasi bahasa Inggris pada Tik-tok yaitu durasinya yang terlalu singkat, masih banyaknya konten yang tidak layak tonton, cara penyampaian content creator yang terlalu cepat, aksen yang digunakan content creator dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris berbeda – beda, masih sedikitnya konten edukasi yang membahas mengenai aspek penekanan dan intonasi di dalam media sosial Tik-tok dan masih banyaknya content creator yang kurang memperhatikan aspek penekanan. | |||||||||
