Abstract

E-book is an innovative learning media to make it easier for students to access learning materials. However, most media have not presented the science literacy aspect optimally, including chemistry. Chemistry material is known for the abstractness and microscopic nature so that presentation needs to maximize aspects of science literacy, namely linking concepts with phenomena in everyday life. So, the research objectives are (1) to produce mind-mapping electronic pocketbook learning media on science literacy-based intermolecular forces material, (2) to know the feasibility of mind-mapping electronic pocketbooks on science literacy-based intermolecular forces material from experts, and (3) to know student responses to mind-mapping electronic pocketbooks on science literacy-based intermolecular forces material. The media development process uses the research and development (R&D) method that adapts the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The results showed that the media was feasible from the experts' assessment, namely 0.89 from material experts and 0.9 from media experts. Student trials received a score of 89,6% indicating that the media was suitable for use in the classroom. So, the electronic mind-mapping pocket book media (BUSA EMIMA) on the material of intermolecular forces is suitable for use in the learning process in the classroom.

Additional Information: E-book merupakan sebuah inovasi media pembelajaran untuk mempermudah siswa mengakses materi pembelajaran. Namun, kebanyakan media pembelajaran belum menyajikan aspek literasi sains secara maksimal termasuk kimia. Materi kimia terkenal akan keabstrakan dan bersifat mikroskopis sehingga penyajiannya perlu memaksimalkan aspek literasi sains, yaitu mengaitkan konsep dengan fenomena di kehidupan sehari-hari. Maka, tujuan penelitian adalah (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran buku saku elektronik mind-mapping pada materi gaya antar molekul berbasis literasi sains, (2) mengetahui kelayakan buku saku elektronik mind-mapping pada materi gaya antar molekul berbasis literasi sains dari para ahli, dan (3) mengetahui respon siswa terhadap buku saku elektronik mind-mapping pada materi gaya antar molekul berbasis literasi sains. Proses pengembangan media menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) yang mengadaptasi model ADDIE (analisis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media layak dari penilaian para ahli, yakni 0,89 dari ahli materi dan 0,9 dari ahli media. Uji coba siswa mendapatkan nilai sebesar 89,6% menandakan media layak untuk digunakan di kelas. Maka, media buku saku elektronik mind-mapping (BUSA EMIMA) pada materi gaya antar molekul layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas.
