Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of self-compassion among final-year students currently in the process of composing their theses at the Faculty of Education (FKIP), Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta). The research methodology used is quantitative descriptive, involving 282 final-year students as participants. The research instrument uses the Welas Diri Scale (SWD), an adaptation of the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). The results show that the majority of students (60%) are at a moderate level of self-compassion, with 22% at a low level and 18% at a high level. These results provide insights into the self-compassion landscape among final-year students navigating a critical phase in their education. The implications of this research include the development of emotional and psychological support programs for students in the thesis-writing process, aiming to enhance their well-being during this challenging period.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat self compassion mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang dalam proses penyusunan skripsi di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 282 mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebagai sampel. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Skala Welas Diri (SWD) yang merupakan adaptasi dari Self Compassion Scale (SCS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa (60%) berada pada tingkat self-compassion sedang, dengan 22% pada tingkat rendah dan 18% pada tingkat tinggi. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan tentang gambaran self compassion pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang menjalani tahap kritis dalam pendidikan mereka. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan program dukungan emosional dan psikologis bagi mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi, yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka selama periode penyusunan skripsi.
