Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of classical guidance services using the problem based learning method on knowledge of the negative impacts of student academic procrastination at SMK Pasundan 1, Serang City. Quasiexperimental research form using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was 225, who were all 11th grade students for the 2023/2024 academic year at Pasundan 1 Vocational School, Serang City. The sampling technique used a cluster random sampling technique which resulted in class 11 AKL becoming the experimental class with a total of 25 students and class 11 BDP with a number of 22 students becoming the control group. Data collection techniques include test questions and observations. The test instrument used is in the form of multiple choice or multiple choice for the pretest and posttest to measure knowledge of the negative impact of academic procrastination on students. The instrument was tested through 3 tests, namely the discrimination test, difficulty test, and distractor effectiveness test. The results of the analysis test using Mann-Whitney showed that the mean value in the experimental group was 27.67, while the mean value in the control group was 10.79, so this result showed that the experimental group's value increased significantly compared to the control group. Then, the results of the hypothesis test show that Asymp.Sig (2 tailed) is 0.000, so it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning method can have a significant influence on knowledge of the negative impacts of academic procrastination for grade 11 AKL students at Pasundan Vocational School, Serang City.

Additional Information: Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan metode problem based learning terhadap pengetahuan dampak buruk prokrastinasi akademik siswa yang dilakukan di SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Serang. Bentuk penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini sebanyak 225 yang merupakan seluruh siswa kelas 11 tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Serang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling yang menghasilkan kelas 11 AKL menjadi kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 dan kelas 11 BDP dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 22 menjadi kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan data berupa soal tes dan observasi. Pada instrument tes yang digunakan berbentuk multiple choice atau pilihan ganda untuk pretest dan posttest mengukur pengetahuan dampak buruk prorkastinasi akademik pada siswa. Instrumen diuji melalui 3 pengujian yaitu uji daya beda, uji kesukaran, dan uji efektifitas pengecoh. Hasil uji analisis menggunakan Mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai mean pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 27,67 sedangkan nilai mean pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 10,79 maka hasil ini nilai kelompok eksperimen lebih meningkat secara signifikan dibanding kelompok kontrol. Kemudian, hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa Asymp.Sig (2tailed) sebesar 0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode problem based learning dapat memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengetahuan dampak buruk prokrastinasi akademik siswa kelas 11 AKL di SMK Pasundan Kota Serang.
