Abstract
This research aimed to determine the relationship between the ability on the utilization of identification key and science process skills among the students on identification Arthropods. The study used a descriptive method which was conducted in October 2014 in the class X MIA SMAN 1 Cikeusal. The sampling used simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study was class X MIA 2 which consisted of 34 students.The instruments were student worksheet (LKS) and essay test items of science process skills. The ability on the utilization of identification keys were measured with three indicators; identification with the percentage of 72,64%, grouping by percentage56,14% and 68,38% giving of name. Science process skills with four indicators skill: which were observing skill with the percentage of 67,64%, 49.99% percentage clasification, applying the concept with the percentage of 70,58% and 69,11% communication skill. In general, the correlation between the ability on the utilization of identification key and science process skills of students on identification Arthropods has low value and positive correlation with coefficient(r)of0.35. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan menggunakan kunci identifikasi dan keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam praktikum identifikasi hewan Arthropoda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2014 di kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Cikeusal. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 2 dengan jumlah 34 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) dan soal tes uraian keterampilan proses sains. Kemampuan menggunakan kunci identifikasi yang diukur terdiri dari 3 indikator yaitu pecandraan/identifikasi dengan persentase 72, 64%, pengelompokkan dengan persentase 56, 14% dan pemberian nama 68,38%. Keterampilan proses sains yang diukur terdiri dari 4 indikator yaitu mengamati dengan persentase 67,64%, mengklasifikasi dengan persentase 49,99%, menerapkan konsep dengan persentase 70,58% dan mengkomunikasikan dengan persentase 69,11%. Secara umum, korelasi antara kemampuan menggunakan kunci identifikasi dan keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam praktikum identifikasi hewan Arthropoda ternilai rendah dan positif dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,35.
