Abstract

In general, students have difficulty understanding the material on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. Students understanding of sub-microscopic representations or abstract concepts in this material is still very low. So the learning process requires media that can visualize these abstract concepts. The use of virtual reality media can be applied in the learning process to help students understand material, especially abstract material. The aim of this research is to develop virtual reality-based learning media with the Millealab application that is feasible and practical to use. The research was carried out using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results of this research are virtual reality-based learning media products with the Millealab application. The validation process was carried out by 5 material experts and media experts with an Aiken's V table index of 0.8. From the results of the validation assessment, an average value was obtained of 0,85 for material expert validation and 0,86 for media expert validation in the valid category. The media developed was then tested on 30 class XI science students. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained an average percentage of 92,55% so it was included in the very good category.

Additional Information: Secara umum siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Pemahaman siswa terhadap representasi sub-mikroskopis atau konsep abstrak dalam materi tersebut masih sangat rendah. Sehingga pada proses pembelajarannya memerlukan media yang dapat memvisualisasikan konsep abstrak tersebut. Penggunaan media virtual reality dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami materi terutama yang bersifat abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis virtual reality dengan aplikasi Millealab yang layak dan praktis untuk digunakan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan, diantaranya yaitu analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implement), dan evaluasi (evaluate). Hasil penelitian ini berupa produk media pembelajaran berbasis virtual reality dengan aplikasi Millealab. Proses validasi dilakukan oleh 5 orang ahli materi dan ahli media dengan indeks Aiken’s V tabel sebesar 0,8. Dari hasil penilaian validasi diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,85 untuk validasi ahli materi dan 0,86 untuk validasi ahli media dengan kategori valid. Media yang dikembangkan kemudian diuji cobakan kepada 30 orang siswa kelas XI IPA. Hasil angket respon siswa memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 92,6 % sehingga termasuk kategori sangat baik.
