Abstract

Learning media in the form of games is important to develop according to the characteristics of students as a way to involve students in learning. This research aims to determine the development process, media suitability, and students' responses to the Multiply Card game media on multiplication counting operation material in contextual learning in class IV elementary school. The method used in the research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model consisting of 4 phases or stages, namely (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The result of this research is a development product in the form of Multiply Card game media, material for multiplication calculation operations for class IV elementary schools. Based on the results of product validation, media experts obtained a score of 86.7%, material experts obtained a score of 90.71%. Based on the percentage values from the two experts, an average value of 88.70% was obtained, this percentage falls within the "Very Eligible" criteria. Product trials were carried out at SDN Ranca Iyuh IV, the subjects of this research were class IV students with a total of 36 students. The results of student responses obtained a result of 87.6% with the criteria "Very Good". Thus, the results of research on the development of the Multiply Card game media are very feasible and very good for use in the learning process of fourth grade elementary school students.

Additional Information: Media Pembelajaran berbentuk permainan penting untuk dikembangkan sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik sebagai suatu cara untuk melibatkan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan, kelayakan media, dan respon peserta didik terhadap media permainan Multiply Card pada materi operasi hitung perkalian dalam pembelajaran kontekstual di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari 4 fase atau tahapan, yaitu (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah produk pengembangan berupa media permainan Multiply Card materi operasi hitung perkalian untuk kelas IV sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan hasil validasi produk, dari ahli media memperoleh nilai sebesar 86,7%, dari ahli materi memperoleh nilai sebesar 90,71%. Berdasarkan nilai persentase dari kedua ahli maka diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 88,70% persentase tersebut masuk dalam kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Uji coba produk dilakukan di SDN Ranca Iyuh IV, subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV dengan jumlah 36 peserta didik. Hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh hasil sebesar 87,6% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”.Dengan demikian hasil penelitian pengembangan media permainan Multiply Card sangat layak dan sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik kelas IV SD.
