Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the relationship between assertive behavior and learning achievement of students in class XI IPS in sociology subjects at SMAN 1 Cibungbulang with the analysis of Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky's social constructivism learning theory. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with correlational methods. The research subjects used were students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 Cibungbulang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and obtained a sample of 70 students, with a total population of 236 students. This research instrument uses a questionnaire / assertive behavior questionnaire and documentation in the form of even semester student report cards. The data analysis of this study used a correlation test with Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results obtained are the level of assertive behavior of students in the moderate category with a percentage of 34.2% and an average score of assertive behavior of 66.2 and the learning achievement of students in class XI IPS SMAN 1 Cibungbulang is in the high category with a percentage of 35.8% and an average score of 90.7. The results of research analysis using Pearson correlation test obtained Sig value. 0.028 <0.05 with a significance level of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted and the Pearson Correlation (r) value is 0.262. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between assertive behavior and learning achievement of students in class XI IPS in sociology subjects at SMAN 1 Cibungbulang, Bogor Regency with a low level of relationship. The meaning is in accordance with Vygotsky's constructivism learning theory which emphasizes the interaction of individuals with culture, and their social environment can build knowledge and understanding obtained by students. This theory also emphasizes the use of the Zone of Proximal Depelopment and Scaffolding in improving student learning and knowledge to the maximum.
