Abstract
This research aims to find out the effectiveness of using documentary film-based learning media in increasing the learning motivation of class XI students in sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon. This research method uses quantitative methods, with a pre-experimental research design with the type One Group Pretest - Posttest Design. The technique used in collecting data is using a questionnaire. The population in this study was 137 students with a research sample of 34 students, the sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Test the analysis prerequisites using a normality test which shows that the research data is normally distributed. The results of this research were assisted by data analysis with SPSS version 29, namely using the Paired Samples t-Test test technique. The results obtained were sig one side p (0.001) and two side p (0.001) < 0.05. So the result is that documentary film-based learning media is effective in increasing the learning motivation of class XI students in sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengenai efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis film dokumenter dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran sosiologi di SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian praeksperimental (pre-eksperimental) dengan jenis One Group Pretest – Posttest Design. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 137 siswa dengan sampel penelitian yaitu 34 siswa, sampel tersebut ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Uji prasyarat analisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas yang menunjukkan bahwa data penelitian berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian ini dibantu analisis datanya dengan SPSS versi 29 yaitu menggunakan teknik uji Paired Samples t-Test. Hasilnya diperoleh nilai sig one side p (0,001) dan two side p (0,001) < 0,05. Maka hasilnya media pembelajaran berbasis film dokumenter efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran sosiologi di SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon. | |||||||||
