Abstract

This research aims to develop monopoly game media to reduce academic procrastination. This research is based on a description of academic procrastination behavior in class XI students at SMK Negeri 3 Serang City. This research method uses research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The results of this research show that the academic procrastination monopoly game media is suitable for use, supported by the results of product feasibility tests by material experts, media experts and practitioner experts, namely with an average score of 96.6% in the "very feasible" category. Apart from that, the academic procrastination monopoly game media was tested on a limited basis on 9 students who experienced academic procrastination in the high category and 2 students who experienced academic procrastination in the medium category. The results of the limited trial by looking at the product trial questionnaire on students obtained an average score of 87.5% in the "very feasible" category. Furthermore, the research results can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test, there is a significant reduction from the average value of 111.4 to 79. Analysis of the Wilcoxon signed rank test on the hypothesis decision making process, the value of 0.002 is lower than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded that the development of monopoly game media to reduce student procrastination is worth using.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan monopoli untuk mereduksi prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini didasari karena adanya gambaran perilaku prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 3 Kota Serang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan research and development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media permainan monopoli prokrasrinasi akademik layak digunakan, didukung oleh hasil uji kelayakan produk oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli praktisi yakni dengan hasil nilai rata-rata sebesar 96,6% dengan kategori “sangat layak”. Selain itu, media permainan monopoli prokrastinasi akademik ini diuji cobakan secara terbatas kepada 9 siswa yang mengalami prokrastinasi akademik dengan kategori tinggi dan 2 siswa yang mengalami prokrastinasi akademik dengan kategori sedang. Adapun hasil dari uji coba terbatas dengan melihat angket uji coba produk pada siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 87,5% dengan kategori “sangat layak”. Selanjutnya hasil penelitian dilihat dari hasil pre-test dan post-test adanya pengurangan secara signifikan dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 111,4 menjadi 79. Analisis uji wilcoxon signed rank test pada proses pengambilan keputusan hipotesis, nilai 0,002 lebih rendah dari pada 0.05, jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dinyatakan diterima. Artinya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media permainan monopoli untuk mereduksi prokrastinasi siswa layak digunakan.
