Abstract

Time management is the act of managing and utilizing time in the most effective way. There are 4 kinds of time management functions, namely Time Planning, Time Organizing, Time Coordinating, and Time Monitoring. This study aims to determine whether there was an effect on group guidance with self management techniques to increase awareness of time management in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Menes in the 2023/2024 school year. The population in this study were VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Menes as many as 90 students. This study uses a quantitative method of experimental type, namely pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design. Sampling and sampling techniques through non-probability sampling method purposive sampling technique. The pre-test results showed that out of a total of 83 students who filled out the questionnaire, there were 3 students in the very low category, 39 students in the low category, 37 students in the high category and 4 students in the very high category. Treatment was given to 8 students for 8x meetings. The research hypothesis test was carried out using the Wilcoxon test. There is a difference between time management skills before and after treatment through group guidance with self management techniques. With N = 8, the value of Z = -2.524b and the results of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.012. The value is smaller than 0.05. which means the hypothesis is accepted (Ha). From the results of these calculations, it can be concluded that group guidance with self management techniques can increase time management awareness in class VIII students at SMPN 2 Menes in the 2023/2024 school year.

Additional Information: Manajemen waktu adalah tindakan untuk mengelola dan memanfaatkan waktu dengan cara yang paling efektif. Fungsi manajemen waktu ada 4 macam yaitu Perencanaan Waktu, Pengorganisasian Waktu, Pengkoordinasian Waktu, dan Pengawasan Waktu. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui apakah adanya pengaruh pada bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management untuk meningkatkan kesadaran manajemen waktu pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Menes tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Menes sebanyak 90 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan one group pre-test and post-test design. Melalui metode non-probability sampling teknik purposive sampling. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan dari total 90 siswa, sebanyak 3 siswa pada kategori sangat rendah, 39 siswa pada kategori rendah, 37 siswa pada kategori tinggi dan 4 siswa pada kategori sangat tinggi. Pemberian treatment dilakukan kepada 8 siswa selama 8x pertemuan. Uji hipotesis penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan manajemen waktu sebelum dan setelah dilaksanakan treatment melalui bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management. Dengan N=8, nilai Z = -2.524b dan hasil Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.012. Nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari 0.05. yang berarti hipotesis diterima (Ha). Dari hasil perhitungan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management dapat meningkatkan kesadaran manajemen waktu pada siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 2 Menes tahun ajaran 2023/2024.
