Abstract

Introducing letters to children is the first step in recognizing the shapes of letters and listening to the pronunciation of each that must be recognized to then be assembled in the form of words, therefore it is necessary to use picture word card learning media in introducing letters to children. This research study aims to determine (1) the effectiveness of using picture word card learning media in improving children's beginning reading skills aged 3-5 years at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi (2) the implementation of picture word card learning media in an effort to develop children's beginning reading skills aged 3-5 years at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi (3) the results of children's beginning reading skills aged 3-5 years after using picture word card learning media at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi. In this study, the research used descriptive methods with a qualitative approach and in data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study are 1 unit head, 2 teachers, and 3 students along with 3 parents at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi. the results of the research that have been conducted show that (1) The selection of picture word card learning media is appropriate, relevant to the learning material, and adjusted to the level of student understanding to be a key factor in determining its effectiveness. Thus, the effectiveness of picture word card learning media at biMBA AIUEO can be considered successful in creating adequate learning experiences for students, namely children aged 3-5 years (2) the implementation of picture word card learning media at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi can be considered effective in providing interesting, creative, and useful learning experiences for students (3) picture word card learning media at biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi can be considered successful in achieving the developmental goals of beginning reading in children aged 3-5 years.

Additional Information: Mengenalkan huruf pada anak merupakan langkah awal dalam mengenal bentuk-bentuk huruf dan mendengarkan lafal dari setiap yang harus dikenal untuk kemudian dirangkai dalam bentuk kata, karena itu diperlukan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar dalam mengenalkan huruf pada anak. Kajian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 3-5 tahun di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi (2) pelaksanaan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar dalam upaya mengembangkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 3-5 tahun di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi (3) hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 3-5 tahun setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi. Dalam penelitian ini, penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan dalam teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 1 kepala unit, 2 pengajar, dan 3 peserta didik beserta 3 orang tua di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi. asil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pemilihan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar sudah tepat, relevan dengan materi pembelajaran, dan disesuaikan dengan tingkat pemahaman siswa menjadi faktor kunci dalam menentukan efektivitasnya. Dengan demikian, efektivitas media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar di biMBA AIUEO dapat dianggap berhasil dalam menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang memadai bagi peserta didik, yaitu anak usia 3-5 tahun (2) pelaksanaan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi dapat dianggap efektif dalam memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang menarik, kreatif, dan berdaya guna bagi peserta didik (3) media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar di biMBA AIUEO Metland Cileungsi dapat dianggap berhasil dalam mencapai tujuan perkembangan membaca permulaan pada anak usia 3-5 tahun.
