Abstract
This research aims to find out, identify and analyze the metaphors in the short stories contained in the short story collection book Transit by Seno Gumira Ajidarma and prepare and describe the lesson implementation plan in MTs class IX. The source of the data in this research is 5 selected short stories from the short story collection Transit by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research because the data is obtained through a procedure of describing the condition of the subject or research object which is then analyzed by providing a description. Researchers identified 52 data from the 5 selected short stories. This analysis uses Ullmann's theory (2014: 266) which divides metaphors into four groups, namely (1) anthropomorphic metaphors (2) animal metaphors (3) metaphors from concrete to abstract (4) synaesthetic metaphors. In the short story collection Transit by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, researchers found that metaphors based on their form were divided into four forms, namely: the use of metaphor in anthropomorphic form with 22 data, the use of metaphor in animal forms with 7 words, the use of metaphor in concrete to abstract form with 18 words, and use of synesthetic metaphors 5 data. The total number of metaphor uses totaled 52 data. The relevance of learning using the short story collection Transit by Seno Gumira Ajidarma as one of the teaching materials at MTs needs to be studied and introduced to students because it contains useful educational values. 5 short stories of the book, a collection of short stories, Transit by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, can be used as a learning material in MTs class IX semester 1 because it can broaden insight and be useful for students who understand it.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, mengidentifikasi, dan menganalisis metafora pada cerpen yang terdapat pada buku kumpulan cerpen Transit Karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma dan menyusun serta mendeskripsikan rencana pelaksanaan pemelajaranya di MTs kelas IX. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah 5 cerpen terpilih buku kumpulan cerpen Transit Karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Penelitian ini dikategorikan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif karena data yang diperoleh melalui prosedur penggambaran keadaan subjek atau objek penelitian yang kemudian dianalisis melalui cara memberi deskripsi. Peneliti mengidentifikasi 52 data dari 5 cerpen yang dipilih. Analisis ini menggunakan teori Ullmann (2014: 266) yang membagi metafora menjadi empat kelompok, yaitu (1) metafora antropomorfis (2) metafora binatang (3) metafora dari konkret ke abstrak (4) metafora sinaestetik. Dalam buku kumpulan cerpen Transit karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma peneliti menemukan metafora berdasarkan bentuknya terbagi menjadi empat bentuk yaitu: penggunaan metafora dalam bentuk antropomorfis sebanyak 22 data, penggunaan metafora pada bentuk binatang sebanyak 7 kata, penggunaan metafora pada bentuk konkret ke abstrak sebanyak 18 kata, dan penggunaan metafora sinestetik 5 data. Jumlah penggunaan metafora semuanya berjumlah 52 data. Relevansi pembelajaran menggunakan buku kumpulan cerpen Transit Karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma sebagai salah satu bahan ajar di MTs perlu dipelajari dan diperkenalkan kepada peserta didik karena mengandung nilai didik yang bermanfaat. 5 cerpen dalam buku kumpulan cerpen Transit Karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan pemelajaran di MTs kelas IX semester 1 karena dapat menambah wawasan, dan bermanfaat bagi peserta didik yang memahaminya. | |||||||||
