Abstract
This research describes the parenting patterns of underage child workers, a case study of child scavengers in Rangkasbitung. The aim of this research is to find out how the parenting patterns of working children's parents are in everyday life. The method used is a case study method with a qualitative approach. By using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity checking technique uses source triangulation. And the theory used in this research is the theory of social action put forward by Max Weber. The informants taken were divided into two types, namely key informants and supporting informants starting from parents of child workers, child workers and the surrounding community. The results of this research are the parenting patterns implemented by working parents of children aged 10 - 17 years so that the children can obey their parents' orders by using an authoritarian parenting style. In managing parenting, it creates several social actions in it which are caused by several factors and the causes of this happen starting from instrumental social actions carried out by parents to be able to fulfill their daily lives, in social actions oriented there are considerations made in children doing work in a way coercion, basically in traditional social actions in the surrounding environment, it has an important influence on the management of parents' parenting patterns for children who work, while in affective social actions more importance is placed on feelings or emotions so that children can obey their parents' orders.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini menggambarkan pola asuh orang tua pada pekerja anak di bawah umur studi kasus pada pemulung anak di Rangkasbitung. Pada tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola asuh orang tua pekerja anak dalam kehidupan sehari – hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Serta teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teori tindakan sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Max Weber. Informan yang diambil terbagi menjadi dua macam yaitu informan kunci dan informan pendukung mulai dari orang tua pekerja anak, anak pekerja dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua pekerja anak dengan usia 10 – 17 tahun agar anak tersebut dapat menuruti perintah orang tuanya dengan cara menggunakan pola asuh otoriter. Dalam pengelolaan pola asuh menciptakan beberapa tindakan sosial di dalamnya yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor dan penyebab hal tersebut terjadi mulai dari tindakan sosial instrumental yang dilakukan oleh orang tua untuk bisa mencukupi kehidupan keseharian, dalam tindakan sosial berorientasi adanya pertimbangan yang dilakukan dalam anak melakukan pekerjaan dengan cara memaksa, pada dasarnya dalam tindakan sosial tradisional pada lingkungan sekitar sangatlah berpengaruh penting bagi pengelolaan pola asuh orang tua pada anak yang bekerja, sedangkan pada tindakan sosial afektif lebih mementingkan perasaan atau emosional agar anak dapat menuruti perintah orang tua. | |||||||||
